Meat Heals

Asiti improved his fitness and cardiovascular health on a carnivore diet

I’ve been zero carb for 6 months and I couldn’t be happier or healthier.

I’ve been a ketogenic lifestyler for several years, however something just always felt ‘off’. Since going only meat and water, everything changed.

My physical and mental performance is the best it’s ever been. I am getting stronger in the gym day in day out, building muscle and maintain a lean physique year round. I have unlimited focus, clarity and improved memory and mood.

ZC helped me recover from adrenal fatigue and several eating disorders. It also cured my chronic constipation which I suffered for several years.

I have had several blood tests done over the last year, and since going ZC my total testosterone went up 50%, free testosterone went up 250% and I got my libido back. My triglycerides are 44mg/dl. And virtually all other blood markers are optimal levels.

Being a health and wellness coach, stumbling upon such a bizarre (against popular belief) and simple way of living really came as a shock. I cannot personally recommend it enough as it has completely changed my life.

Alexandre improved digestion, fitness, mood, mental health on carnivore diet

Alexandre, before and 3 months after going carnivore

My name is Alexandre,

I love the carnivore way of life. I ate a decent amount of meat before and despised the massive waste of time involved in vegetable preparation.

I average 2 feeds daily, one large feast in the morning and another when I get hungry. The simplicity of this lifestyle is an asset.

The first thing I noticed was a significant reduction of flatulence. I always annoyed my girlfriend with loud stinky farts before bed. They are gone. My digestion is smooth. I never feel bloated.

My workouts are better than ever. I experienced a decline in my squat and deadlift strength over the last few years, some part due to lack of motivation which I attributed to not giving shit after decades spent in the gym. My stats are climbing up to where I was at my peak.

I feel like an animal. Erections are solid. My skin smooth, free of acne which still popped up even though I am almost thirty years old.

Muscle feels denser. Lower body fat percentage.

Chris improved cardiovascular health, treated diabetes on carnivore diet

Chris has lost over 120lbs and healed many long term heath issues by eating a carnivorous, meat-only diet!

My name is Chris. I am 44 years old, a Licensed Massage Therapist and Herbalist, and the healthiest I have been in decades since adopting a carnivorous diet. I am down around 120 lbs (and counting), and have had many health issues COMPLETELY clear up since going carnivore. I have tried every diet under the sun (was a vegetarian for a year and a half, low-fat, low-carb, keto, ate only cereal, even ate baby food for a few months, etc) and Meat-Only is the only diet that has really worked for me and healed my health problems.

Following a Standard Ketogenic Diet last year took me part of the way, and I was able to lose some weight. But it seemed I was always losing and gaining the same 50 lbs, had long stalls, and frequently gave in to my cravings. Cheat meals sometimes turned into cheat weeks. I was helping to coach some of my clients and friends with Keto but was not having the results I was after. Since going fully carnivore the end of 2017 I have consistently been losing 2-4 lbs a week, with some even bigger week losses! I have ZERO cravings and ZERO hunger. I eat meat when hungry and drink water when thirsty, and I don’t restrict either. My friends and coworkers are amazed my fat is melting away eating ribeye steaks, bacon cheeseburgers, and chicken wings!

Besides the weight loss the health gains have been amazing in so short at time! A Meat-Only diet has cleared up several conditions that persisted even on a standard ketogenic diet. These include:

CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH: My blood pressure is lower, shortness of breath is gone (used to huff and puff just walking short distances like across the house), and serious leg swelling (edema from venous insufficiency) for which I had to wear compression stockings is GONE!

DIGESTION: Meat-Only cleared up my diverticulitis! I would get frequent serious intestinal infections requiring antibiotics and was once hospitalized for a perforated colon. Doctors said I would one day require surgery to remove part of my colon. I now know that the recommended high-fiber diet I was following was CAUSING the inflammation, gas, bloating, and increased colonic pressure that caused the bulging and subsequent infections. All of that went away when i removed all plants from my diet. Meat is almost completely digested in the small intestine so the large intestine can heal. This is INVALUABLE for people with diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, IBS, etc.

FITNESS: Able to walk longer distances, workout often, and engage in many activities I used to not be able to do or enjoy.

MOOD/MENTAL HEALTH: My mood is greatly improved and more stable. My depression is largely gone.

RESPIRATORY: Shortness of breath gone, chronic cough and congestion gone.

SKIN: The serious rashes and infections (sometimes requiring ER visits and antibiotics) that accompanied my leg swelling is gone, as is frequent boils, athletes foot, some lipomas and skin tags.

WEIGHT LOSS: Losing 2-4 a week, down 120 lbs and counting!

UNCATEGORIZED/OTHER: Pre-diabetes gone, blood sugars normal and stable, prostate issues (pressure, urgency, etc) cleared up, and lifelong anemia resolved.

Greg improved his fitness tremendously on carnivore diet

Hi, my name is Greg and I just have to share my enthousiasm. I’m a few weeks from turning 42 and I have never felt better in my life. I’m a little over a month into this carnivorous journey, and I’m still in shock how my mind and body have responded to this diet.

Struggling with training in the past

I was an overweight and depressed teenager. I knew nothing about exercise or diet. Sick of not getting any attention from the girls, I decided to basically starve myself when I was 20 to lose the flab. A few years later I started lifting weights and I fell in love. Over the years I put on some decent muscle size but always struggled with body fat, especially the “spare tire” I could never shake.

Juggling diets and yo-yo-ing

Over the years my weight was like a yo-yo and I tried all the different diets… low carb, high carb, Atkins, Keto etc. with little success. I figured I’d be stuck with this “donut” forever.

About 5yrs ago I started having reactions to all kinds of different foods out of nowhere. Veggies, fruits and grains were provoking crippling pain and causing me to throw up. Believe me, I would have preferred it to go out the other end lol. I underwent some tests but Doctors couldn’t do anything for me. I learned to live with it and stayed away from certain foods but sometimes I would eat the wrong thing and boom. Smoking a joint was the only thing that saved me from the pain.

Greg before his dietary journey

Giving carnivore a shot

2018 hit and I decided to do a modified Keto. I never felt right and I kept thinking back to that meat eating Doctor that was on Rogan. I said [email protected]&k it…I’m gonna give this Carnivore thing a shot. Best decision I’ve made! Within days my body started to change as well as my mind state.

Greg today, as a carnivore

Here is what has been happening:

Mood – I feel amazing. Confidence way up. Was on cannabis CBD oil for anxiety, no longer needed. I look forward to each day!
Fat loss – down 10lbs, waist down almost 3”. Spare tire disappearing by the day!
Performance – I’m an animal in the gym. Strength waaaay up. Crushing PRs. Putting on muscle. Lots of energy during the day.
• Digestive health – never better! Bloating gone. No gas. Regular bowel movements with very little waste. Feel great!!

• Joint pain – annoying tweak in shoulder and elbow… gone.

Skin – I live in Calgary, Alberta so it is very dry this time of year. My skin is soft and glowing… so my wife tells me 🙂

Libido – let’s put it this way, I feel like a teenager again.
• Alcohol – would have 2-7 drinks a week, now it doesn’t appeal to me much. I’ve drank once in 5 weeks.

Generally I eat twice a day and don’t snack. I look forward to and enjoy each meal! I love not being a slave to food. No more constant food prep and eating 4-6 times a day.

Like most people I thought eating only meat was crazy when I first heard about it. Now it all makes sense.

I’m forever grateful for Doctor Shawn Baker and what he has done for me and so many people worldwide. He is the perfect person to lead this revolutionary movement. We’re just getting started!

Thank you Dr. Baker!

Now, go eat a damn steak!! #meatheals

Brandon gained libido, energy, improved metabolic health on carnivore diet

I am a 25 year old man who has seen incredible changes since going carnivore. I tried many different diets and a majority of them were not as effective. As of this writing, my weight has dropped to 179lbs, a level not seen for at least 7 years, the last time this happened was in 2012 or 2013, and down from nearly 280lbs which happened in December 2017. For most of my life I was on a Standard American Diet (SAD) with a higher fat content, as well as consuming alcohol once I was legally allowed and until going sober in 2018, until late January 2019. In February 2019, shortly after my 25th birthday, my weight has declined to about 250lbs, and I decided to go hardball with exercise with a calorie restricted diet, with extremely streneous exercise and capping my caloric intake to no more than 600 calories. Calories in, calories out, was what I was told all my life. I took various weight control pills. Despite all this effort, my weight loss stalled out after 25 pounds, and I went to my old SAD diet, not to mention cravings and cheats during this restrictive diet-exercise regimen. I decided to go on a ketogenic diet in May 2019, despite some oppositions, and my weight went down from 225 to 200 pounds, dropping another 25 pounds, before stalling out again. In July 2019, I did a dry fast and dropped 5 pounds down to 195lbs, but that was the absolute minimum. I did several more extended dry fasts which dipped my weight, only to rebound back to 195lbs. When I started carnivore, slowly but surely I began to see some results, with my energy and libido returning, gut discomfort disappearing, and ability to handle less sleep, and less brain fog, and as it stands today, I have lost about 15 pounds over 3 weeks, and I believe that my body is getting its species-appropriate foods. Here is what my stats looked like

Pyroxidine improved skin, IBS, and anxiety on a carnivore diet

This is the story of how I treated my severe acne with the carnivore diet, and incidentally discovered a range of additional health benefits. By sharing my experience, I hope to inspire others to take the carnivore approach – both to spare themselves the unpleasantness of this condition and the cocktails of pharmaceutical drugs involved in the mainstream medical treatment.
For some background, I am a 27 year old male of BMI approximately 23. I had no other significant medical conditions except several bouts of non-medicated mild depression and what I would describe as mild, occasional irritable bowel syndrome.
Enjoying clear skin throughout my teenage years, I started developing acne around age 19. For approximately 1-2 years my pimples were merely an inconvenience. However, they persisted and I attended my local family doctor and commenced the standard medical treatment course. First line was topical benzyl peroxide and erythromycin antibiotic. These are creams and lotions that you apply directly to the inflamed skin. The antibiotic cream hopes to kill the bacteria that causes pimples (P. acnes). Benzyl peroxide is an industrial chemical is supposed to reduce the oiliness of the skin and reduce bacteria growth. When these didn’t work, the doctor prescribed oral antibiotics (doxycycline then minocycline). These are potent drugs with a range of side effects including increased skin sensitivity to sun, and are also used to kill a wide range of exotic bacteria causing infectious diseases.
After seeing no improvement on this therapy, a dermatologist prescribed me isotretinoin. For those not aware, isotretinoin is an adjunctive chemotherapy agent used in severe, refectory acne. It causes birth defects in pregnant women. For those who can tolerate side effects of dry skin, dry lips, and liver dysfunction it provides an effective cure. For me, it triggered a period of emotional instability and depression that was intolerable, as such I ceased my treatment course early after 6 months. Depression is a not uncommonly reported side effect of isotretnioin therapy that is often dismissed or denied by dermatologists and mainstream practitioners.
Throughout this period, none of the 3 or 4 medical practitioners recommended any form of dietary or non-pharmacological therapy. The entire approach was focused on reducing the visible problem of acne with no regard to the root cause of the problem.
I had suspected that my acne was somewhat dietary related. I made several halfhearted attempts to correlate various foods with the severity of my acne, but never performed any radical or systematic elimination of diet. My diet was never unhealthy by the conventional sense – I had always tried to eat a wide range of foods including fruits and vegetables, and rarely ate processed food or high sugar foods. Over the course of 3-4 years I cut out dairy from my diet and maybe 6 months later I completely cut out sugar. This was the extent of my dietary approach to treating my acne, until in 2017 when a shift to quasi-vegetarianism would force me into a different course of action.
In 2017 I listened to the mainstream dietary propaganda and adopted an (almost) vegetarian diet that I believed was healthier for me and better for the planet. My ‘before’ diet was typical of large amounts of grains (wholegrain breads/toasts, pastas, rice, quinoa), beans/legumes (chick peas, kidney beans, lentils both canned and re-hydrated), fresh fruits (berries, bananas, apples), vegetables (kale, spinach, sweet potato, potato, carrots, celery), plant protein (tofu), animal protein (low-fat lean meat). Olive oil and avocados were the chief source of dietary fat.
All the food was organic wherever possible. I was doing everything right, according to mainstream narrative. Describing my diet in social settings received affirmations of approval and admiration. What was the effect of this diet on health? Rather than making me feel healthier, it had the opposite effect, and was particularly provocative for my acne. Here are some of the notable health effects of the quasi-vegetarian diet:
Acne. The acne that had re-emerged since I ceased isotretinoin progressively worsened. Although it did not become cystic acne (the worse type, and most scarring), it was persistent. Manual pore cleaning with a beauty therapist provided temporary relief from symptoms by physically clearing the pores and removing bacteria. However, within several weeks my skin would erupt again, red and inflamed.
Tiredness. Waking up was a chore. I found myself constantly snoozing the alarm clock. Feeling run-down and tired, despite not changing any other factors that usually account for feelings of tiredness (caffeine intake, exercise, etc.) I would often fall asleep during the day, especially after eating a big breakfast or lunch heavy in the wholegrain bread or pasta I was eating.
Flatulence. I was constantly passing wind and in an almost constant state of gastrointestinal discomfort. Mostly this consisted of cramping abdominal pain. Despite this, my bowel actions were regular and daily. I guess I was getting enough ‘fiber’ that we are supposed to need.
Sterility (speculation) and low libido. I noticed the macroscopic consistency of my semen changed on the (mostly) vegetarian diet. It no longer had a thick, white, stringy consistency, instead was predominantly clear seminal fluid. I understand this suggests low sperm count. I was never able to definitely verify this through formal sperm count, however, low sperm count is a widely known and acknowledged outcome of vegan diets and soy consumption, so I suspect this is what was occurring. My libido also suffered under this diet.
Mood. I found myself having anxious moments, and becoming worried or concerned at small issues. Put another way, I felt like my psychological reserve with which which to absorb the trials of the world was small, and little things could push me off my center.
Nothing really clicked as abnormal – like most people, I failed to make the link between diet and my subjective feelings of health. After 18 months of severe acne, and unwilling to return to pharmacological treatments, I decided to radically experiment with diet. A big influence on my decision was the story of Mikhaila Peterson, who achieved remission of here severe auto-immune Arthritis symptoms on an exclusively animal products diet. Reasoning from first principles, if people with systemic autoimmune conditions could find relief, it is possible that acne (also an inflammatory condition) would also be amenable to the same approach.
Already avoiding dairy, I decided to cut all carbohydrates out of my diet. This was a 6 month transition period where I ceased eating pasta, bread, and other carbs as well as fruits, potatoes, etc. This lower carbohydrate diet eventually become carnivore. The final incarnation of the diet the diet was steak, eggs, (with the occasional avocado) and beef tallow.
As I progressively cut out plant material from my diet, my skin progressively improved. Fewer pimples would appear, and the existing pimples healed. The skin gradually became less inflamed and red. I had not changed my skin cleaning regime, nor was I taking any pharmaceutical medication. Occasionally I would test the causal link between non-animal foods and acne by eating some pasta or pizza. This experiment would reliably be followed by a breakout. I even stopped attending the beautician therapist for pore cleaning because it was no longer necessary. The carnivore diet helped me achieve my goal of having clear skin and be acne free.
What I hadn’t anticipated was the improvement in subjective wellbeing, and general feeling of vitality that accompanied my strict dietary elimination. My sleep improved to the extent that I required less sleep (6-7 hours) and would not wake up tired. My need for caffeination completely evaporated. Brain fog disappeared, I no longer fell asleep during the day and my productivity improved as well.
The bloating, abdominal pain and flatulence that had accompanied me roughly since the age of 19 when my acne started, which worsened significantly on the plant-based omnivore diet, now disappeared. I suspect this IBS like symptoms were completely related to eating plant material to which I was intolerant.
My mood improved to a consistent 8-9/10. I felt calmer, was more patient and accepting of life and things that happened. My energy level increased significantly. Physical recovery after exercise was improved. I no longer got minor or niggling soft tissue injuries nor aches that normally occur after a long gym session. My ejaculate returned to a thick, white stringy consistence and my libido returned. Body odour almost completely disappeared. Susceptibility to viral infections and colds disappeared.
I have been exclusively carnivore for the past 9 months, and have never felt better. Here are some of my thoughts on the diet and acne:
Dietary elimination to low carb and then carnivore should be first-line for any young people experiencing severe acne. Especially before taking systemic antibiotics and isotretinoin, which are not pleasant and can potentially harmful side effects. In this way, you are addressing the underlying causative process, rather than the downstream steps of the disease process.
I suspect that for some people, insulin levels spike from carbs and high-sugar foods are directly linked to acne breakouts. Reducing the insulin level with a low carbohydrate diet is one possible mechanism by which the carnivore diet has its effect.
It is possible that you will be able to re-introduce certain foods after a the passage of enough time such that insulin spike does not provoke acne. At this point, people might become low-carb or Keto from a stricter carnivore.
Pairing the carnivore diet with manual pore cleaning and de-congestion from a competent beauty therapist is the quickest way to achieve cure. In this way, you are removing the acne stimulus (diet) at the same time as removing bacteria and dirt that clogs pores and perpetuates the condition.
Meat and animal fat are the least immune-provoking foods. For those suffering from inflammatory conditions, it appears to be the best dietary approach to control inflammation in the body.
Grains and legumes are indigestible. I could feel the undigested grains and legumes fermenting in my colon, and this manifested as increasing gas. Lacking nutrient density and bioavailability, they are not absorbed in the small bowel. Instead, they must pass all the way to the large bowel, where gut bacteria ferment and metabolise plant material in attempt to generate free fatty acids, that are then absorbed and used as fuel. This is the cause of the flatulence. This contrasts enormously with meat diet which is readily and rapidly absorbed in the small intestine. Patients with stoma bags after bowel surgery report that after they eat steak, there is nothing recognisable left in their bag. Contrast this with plant matter such as corn and other seeds that often pass out the other end undigested and still recognisable.
I must also mention the occasional downsides.
Diarrhoea might occur you neglect to eat enough fat. I got several bouts of diarrhoea, characterised as urgency, with no bloating or abdominal pain, and no systemic illness. I am unsure of the mechanism. Symptoms quickly resolve when increasing dietary fat intake. I came across this problem if eating too much lean cuts of steak (grass-fed steak with no marbling and small fat seam). This resolved quickly, and I now have no ongoing issues.
More difficult to quickly build total body mass. I suspect that totally removing carbohydrates provides the body with exquisitely, perfectly tuned satiety mechanisms. I found that the carnivore diet kept me at a stable weight, despite allowing me continuous and progressive increases in lifting strength and power. This may not be the case for everyone. If your goal is mass gain and weights training, you might stack mass on more slowly than with carbohydrates in your diet.
Increased need for electrolyte supplementation, especially in the first 6 months of carnivore as your body switches from burning glucose to burning fat. The lowered insulin level in the blood affects how your kidneys manage salt (sodium and potassium), and you will lose both salt and fluid under lower circulating levels of insulin. This need slowly disappeared as my body became completely carnivore adapted.
The overall benefit of the carnivore diet on health has been nothing short of astounding. In some ways I am grateful for my acne in that it allowed me to discover the carnivore diet and regain my health. I would highly recommend people with severe inflammatory medical conditions to try the carnivore approach, as the risk vs benefit profile is very favorable. I would also recommend carnivore to those who aren’t suffering from any disease except the consistent tiredness, low-level anxiety and malaise that affects so many in developed Western nations. Carnivore is the tool to unlock our natural vitality and healthful state. I believe Carnivore is the evolutionarily appropriate human diet and its ability to reverse disease is testament to this fact. I am now very optimistic about my future health, as I believe the best predictor of future health and longevity is current health.
My final and most emphasized advice is to listen to your body, and be in tune with you subjective feeling of health. If you wake up every morning with energy, a positive attitude and happy disposition you are most likely on the right path. Continue to trial and error with diet until you reach this state – it takes time and effort but it will be worth it.
In closing, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to the prominent figures in the carnivore community, who have spread knowledge through articles, podcasts and public speaking. Specifically, thanks to Dr. Shawn Baker, Amber O’Hearn and Mikhaila Peterson. They continue to take the slings and arrows from various profit-driven and ideological opponents of Carnivore eating.
Thanks to all who have read my account, and best of luck as you reclaim your health on your own Carnivore journey.

Rishi improved digestion and body composition on a carnivore diet

I did solely meat for 2018 and ~April 2019.
A1C, BG all went down immediately and clothes started getting loose. Triglycerides (TG) were in control but I still ran quite high lipids. I expected it to normalize but it did not really. Weight went down and clothes were getting looser. My irritable bowel symptoms improved by 80%-still needed more work.
IN that time I was able to reduce reflux to not needing any PPI. Not surprisingly the chronic cough I had abated, probably as reflux subsided.  Mood, concentration improved as I was fat adapted.I must say I am also on TRT and the weight dropped helped curb aromatization.
However my weight drop capped at 205-209 and I needed to change something. I was already in gym quite frequently.
in April of 2019 I started Intermittent fasting and dropped calories from ~2300 down to 1900. I did find that with the reduced calorie load and 16 hour fasted time I needed some targeted carbs during feed time. I could not nail down root cause of  leftover digestive issues so I ceased cheese (cows). That also removed a nice easy fat supply from the diet-which I relied on as a snack.
From April to now the weight went off fast. I got down to 196, but the body looked different!. It was so rapid I noticed it..and others too. I recently have to buy Large shirts (down from XL) ,a smaller belt and smaller pants/gymwear.
What also happened was a drop in LDL, raise in HDL. The calorie drop and IF really normalized my cholesterol levels.
So, yes I am meat based. I still eat my ribeyes,  duck, liver, fish, shrimp, egg, bacon. I only eat around 100—120 gm of targeted carbs during feeding window. They are mostly simple carbs (rice, potato) and they are usually when I break fast, post workout, or last meal before fast.
I debated adding carbs, but I will say without them I could be a bear of a person..especially on IF. By adding the carbs with IF I realized my mood stabilized. I could sustain conditioning better and  The weight was going off so I kept it.
I know some people will see this is a religion and claim this is not carnivore. Yeah I dont care what people say. The bulk of my nutrition is from pastured/wild caught meat (from Whole Foods=). I have become really good at listening to what my body needs and developed the discipline to eat as needed. I guess I would say I follow a meat based diet.
So this journey took me from 230lbs to 196lbs. IN that time I unlearned the things I was told in healthcare and went on my own journey.
I started TRT
I went to meat based -scared many and had to counter the lectures about heart health
I took labs q3 months for last 3 years
I did a Coronary artery scan in 2019 and got a full work up by a cardiologist
My CAC score was ZERO after a year on ribeyes (and an unhealthy/overweight decade) My QRS complex was textboox, ventricles strong and no peripheral blockages despite running very high LDL levels. My cardio said -” You have a 15 year lease on life-I dont need to see you in 15 years. Continue what you are doing”. I do wonder if carnivore reversed any plaque/inflammation. Because with ym family history-I must have had some
My thyroid levels stabilized, inflammation markers started going down, Vit D went up!
The reduced body fat meant I aromatized less Testosterone to estrogen so this realy helped stabilize my androgen levels in my TRT . My TRT doc was very pleased and started recommending it to others.
I am a clinician-and most at work with me would never do this. I did it, took labs and tracked it, It works!
I am leaner, I am stronger than I ever was, my sex drive is great. I feel confident, full of energy and mental acuity (which I need for my 2 professions).
I feel 45 is my new 30 and I want to conquer the world-and icnrease my squat and deadlift as well=)
I am not one for selfies not putting pics online, but  I will try to take a recent pic. Pretty sure I have fat pics from before lol
Well this is my life thus far. 2020 goals are to be leaner into 180s, but be as strong as a 200+ guy.
I am glad Dr Baker had video/information out there that allowed me to make my own decision.
I did buy into the whole plant health thing, red meat bad thing..meat bad for environment thing.
Now I just employ critical thinking and journal critiques=)

Listen to Coach Rishi’s interview on the podcast below:

Jonathan reduced his pain significantly on a carnivore diet

Hi, my name is Jonathan. Let me tell you something about my switch to the carnivore diet.

Daily Routine

My daily routine for eating the last month has been 16 hours of intermittent fasting. First meat meal at noon, and then a meat meal at between 5 and 6 pm (1.5 – 3lbs of meat per day). Drinking on average 4L of water per day. One cup of coffee with heavy cream in the morning and occasionally a Jocko White Tea mid afternoon.

No more depression or pain

After a month of strict carnivore diet here is how it’s affected me:

  1. Has completely eliminated any depressive feelings
  2. My emotional demeanor has leveled out. I feel more in control of my emotional state and have noticed I am much less irritable

  3. After suffering for the last two years from what I would consider terrible hemorrhoids, that has completely reversed and have not had any issues at all for the last 18 days

  4. Since January 2015 when I had my vasectomy I have suffered since from P.V.P.D (Post Vasectomy Pain Disorder). It has been a horrible thing to deal with, living everyday feeling like I had just got kicked in the stones. Over the last year the pain hasn’t been as intense (I attribute this to intermittent fasting and reduced intake of grains) but I still have experienced days where the pain was debilitating. This has affected my sex life, caused me depression, and I had to self medicate with cannabis just to deal with the daily pain. Since going carnivore I have been able to cut out cannabis from my life completely because after only one week carnivore I noticed a massive reduction in pain. Now 1 Month in, I hardly notice any kind of pain whatsoever. Sex is better and enjoyable again, and I’m feeling so much more confident because of this. It’s literally the most beneficial thing I have noticed from this. There are still days with slight pain, but I do not feel the need to self medicate to get through and that is amazing for me.

  5. I am 5’9″, I have an ecto-mesomorph bodytype and was weighing 187lbs when I started the diet. At this point I have lost 2″ off my waist, and I’m weighing in at 165lbs. I have also noticed an increase in my muscle mass. I haven’t really done any working out because I wanted to see the results of just eating alone. But the next thirty days I will be working out 5 times a week doing calisthenics, using my total gym and resistance bands. I look forward to the results of that.

Dr. Baker to thank for my happiness

In closing, I want to say I feel incredible. My energy levels feel like they did when I was in my teens. I’m happier than I’ve been in years, and it’s rubbing off on everyone I’m close to in my life. I want to say a huge thank you to Dr. Shawn Baker. If it wasn’t for him being on Joe Rogan’s podcast, and Dr. Baker’s Instagram and meat heals site I may have never tried this and been blessed to feel this way. I really believed I was going to have to resolve myself to living a life of chronic daily pain.
